We want to help children and teachers who don't have school supplies this year

Crayons to Classrooms is one of the best charitable organizations in the region. Their mission is to provide school supplies for students and teachers who can’t afford them for the school year. Many times, teachers have to pay out of their own pocket to make sure they have the proper supplies. This is a problem that can be remedied, and Crayons to Classrooms is solving it.

Over 2200 local teachers and 54,000 local students receive supplies from the organization which includes 135 Miami Valley schools as the recipients. They make a difference in the lives of our kids and teachers. The organization serves Clark, Darke, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and Warren counties.

Here’s a firsthand comment: “...it is helpful that [my students] do not have to worry or have anxiety about not being prepared, or not having school supplies. I think it makes them feel like people do care about them and their education.” - West Carrollton Teacher

The best news? 94 cents of every dollar support Crayons to Classrooms programs.

Here’s the part where you can help: The 7 Circle of Kindness and Eagle Great Backpack Give Back is returning on Tuesday, August 6th, benefitting Crayons to Classrooms. The event will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 12 pm to 7 pm. There will be 3 drop-off locations where school supplies will be collected:

• Walmart Miller Lane (3465 York Commons Blvd., Dayton, OH 45414)
• Walmart Xenia (70 Hospitality Dr., Xenia, OH 45385)
