A Springfield fast food icon is no more.

Ever since I can remember, Long John Silver’s was a North Limestone Street institution. As far as I know, the restaurant has been there since the 70′s? I am sure we have some Springfield historians that can let us know the exact year it opened up.

We’re hearing that not only has the location closed, but it’s already been torn down.

We don’t know why but this hits hard. The location was also A&W cobranded location. That happened in the 2000′s.

There’s no other information on what will go on the property.
