It turns out “The Goonies” are good enough after all.

A sequel to ‘’The Goonies’' has been greenlit. The original cast, Sean Astin (Mikey), Josh Brolin (Brand), Corey Feldman (Mouth), Jeff Cohen (Chunk) and Ke Huy Quan (Data), will all return.

It’s being reported by The Sun that plans are in place to start discussing ideas next year with a 2026 or 2027 release.
